Shouta Aoi (蒼井 翔太; Aoi Shouta), was born on August 11, 1987, in Fukui, Japan, and is a singer, actor, and voice actor.

He originally debuted in 2006 with the stage name Showta, and released the song “願い星”, and would release his first studio album, EVE, under the name in 2008. One year later, in 2009, he left his agency and briefly released music under the pseudonym Noboru Ryugaki (柳ヶ木 昇) as an independent artist; in the same year, he also made his debut as a musical actor, playing the role of Hana Sakajima (花島 咲) – a character in the popular manga and anime フルーツバスケット (Fruits Basket).

In 2011, he made his debut as a voice actor, playing the role of Ai Mikaze (美風藍) in the popular male idol anime うたの☆プリンスさまっ (Uta no☆Prince-sama). Two years later, Shouta would officially make a return to the music industry, under the name 蒼井 翔太 (Shouta Aoi), with the debut album ブルーバード (Blue Bird), in June of 2016.
