Edmund Carl Aiken, Jr., better known to music fans as Shinehead, was born to Jamaican in north London, England. He and his sister grew up between Jamaica and Bronx, New York. When Aiken first performed hip hop in the Bronx, others called him E.C., but the name he claimed for himself was Shinehead.
