shimi violet is the music project of Chloe Santos, a producer, writer, illustrator and singer. The project began in 2020 (with the shimi violet name starting in 2023), and is known for its distinctive sound design and complex lore depicted in its artwork, lyrics, and the visual novel [foxgloves Awning], for which a demo was released in 2024. Chloe has appeared on labels such as Silkenwood, sanctuary, The Half Heart Project, Neoluminum, and Unbeyond Anthologies, as well as contributing to a Full Flex Audio sample pack. They also release Pokémon-inspired music under the name Partways.
