Setec (pronounced see-tek) is the pseudonym for Sydney-based solo artist Joshua Gibbs, multi-instrumentalist and bedroom recordist. Equally influenced by the complex pop melodies of Joni Mitchell and the cut-n-paste aesthetic of Cornelius or The Books, he mixes field recordings, acoustic instruments, dreamy vocals, and a plethora of long-forgotten spoken and sung samples. Setec forges its way into the dusty, nostalgic corners of your brain and attempts to stay there.
