Scribz Riley

Michael Abiola Orabiyi (born August 25, 1993), professionally known as Scribz Riley, is a British record producer, singer, and songwriter. He is the younger brother of singer-songwriter, Talay Riley.

Scribz Riley has collaborated on Grammy-winning projects and has notably produced for Khalid, Cardi B, Doja Cat, ZAYN, 21 Savage, Kendrick Lamar, Ella Mai, Ariana Grande, Zacari, and H.E.R, among others.

Orabiyi was born in East London, and initially played the piano in church for his older brother. Later, Scribz began to freestyle over grime beats while attending St. Bonaventure Secondary School and YAP Youth Club. He also attended the Identity School of Acting, but gravitated to a music career instead. Scribz was associated with Mucky Wolfpack, the E3 crew (headed by God’s Gift). Meanwhile, he was learning studio craft via attending sessions for the label Alwayz Recording with his older brother.

Scribz Riley’s earliest credits include working with The Rascals in 2012, Wiley in 2013 and Tove Lo on her 2014 album, Queen of the Clouds.

Scribz also wrote songs for artists like Saygrace and Julian Perretta. In 2017, Scribz co-produced H.E.R’s “Lights On” from her Grammy-winning debut album, as well as Cardi B’s “Ring” and Zacari’s “Redemption”, which also won Grammys.
