SCRAPING BI

Some bands write songs.

SCRAPING BI writes autopsies.

Born in the concrete undercurrent of Phnom Penh, SCRAPING BI emerged as a collision between Cambodian punk urgency, speed metal violence, and the crushing rhythmic force of Mongolian throat-singing. Their music is not a celebration. It is a diagnosis.

Musically, SCRAPING BI exists somewhere between punk, hardcore, speed metal, industrial collapse, and urban hallucination. Their songs are short, explosive bursts of nihilistic poetry filled with images of neon decay, luxury addiction, consumer worship, and existential exhaustion. They are known for turning philosophical concepts into crowd-chant slogans and transforming social criticism into blunt-force trauma.

Their debut album, GULAG, established the band’s reputation through twenty-four violent snapshots of decadence, hedonism, isolation, and spiritual emptiness. The record’s bleak worldview, surreal imagery, and relentless energy quickly earned a cult following that spread far beyond Southeast Asia.

Onstage, SCRAPING BI performs with the intensity of a structure fire. Their concerts blur the line between performance and riot, driven by breakneck tempos, relentless crowd participation, and an atmosphere that feels equal parts underground punk show, apocalyptic sermon, and public exorcism.

SCRAPING BI’s philosophy is simple:

Everything breaks. Everything decays. Everything gets consumed.

The only question is whether you’ll dance while it happens.
