Scott Mathson is a Montana-based artist. In 2008 he started and ran a professional audio recording studio and artist management service in Great Falls, MT and moved to Missoula, MT in 2011. In 2024 he bought and took over ownership of The Recording Center – Missoula’s longest-running recording studio.

He is a multi-instrumentalist with drums being his first instrument learned and he is now playing guitar, banjo, bass, keyboard, and more. His singing and songwriting styles are influenced by his past and present experiences, love of the natural world, and lived emotions.

Scott considers himself lucky to have grown up in a household that encouraged personal expression and for him, he has always found comfort in songwriting and in recording and performing music. He has been involved in a number of live and recorded music projects with other Pacific Northwest based artists and continues to write, record, and perform.
