Scorpion Wind is the tentative title of a collaboration effort that would later come to be known simply as “Death in June & Boyd Rice,” naming both members of the duo; Douglas P. of Death in June and Boyd Rice. As Scorpion Wind, they released only one album: the two-disc Heaven Sent, featuring ten Rice-written spoken word pieces set to Douglas P.’s dense folk music. The duo would reunite for other efforts with different collaborators, such as Boyd Rice & Friends or the Registered Three, but the title “Death in June & Boyd Rice” would reappear only once, on 2004’s Alarm Agents.
