Sarah and the Sundays is an Alternative Indie-Pop band based in Austin, Texas, originally formed in West Hartford, Connecticut.

The band consists of Liam Yorgensen (lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Brendan Whyburn (lead guitarist and occasional background vocalist), Declan Chill (bassist and background vocalist), Quinn Lane (drummer), and Miles Reynolds (guitarist and keyboardist).

As explained in an interview during the ACL Music Festival by Stefny At The Disco, the band was originally called “The Sundays.” However, the name was changed to “Sarah and the Sundays” after discovering an existing 90s band with the same name. The inspiration for the name came from a photo featuring the band members and Miles Reynolds’s sister, Sarah Reynolds. The photo was posted on Instagram with the caption “Sarah and the Sundays,” which eventually became their official band name.

The group began making music during their sophomore year of high school. By 2019, they decided to drop out of college to pursue music full-time after gaining traction online.

Their debut studio album, I Don’t Know Yet, was released on October 13, 2017. However, it was later removed from most streaming platforms, remaining accessible only on SoundCloud and YouTube.

On May 19, 2019, the band released their second studio album, So You’re Mad About the Cups, featuring popular tracks like “Ruby Fields” and “Moving On.”

Their most recent studio album, The Living End, was released on October 15, 2021. The album’s standout track, “Vices,” gained significant popularity. On May 25, 2022, they released a deluxe version of the album, featuring three additional songs.
