Samfree, whos real name is Sano Takayuki (佐野貴幸) was a Japanese VOCALOID producer, most well-known for creating the Night series, more specifically the hit song “Luka Luka★Night Fever”, which is considered one of the most notable VOCALOID songs today, and the most recognizable song using Megurine Luka’s voicebank. He used a variety of VOCALOIDs in his songs, utilizing the voice banks of Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, GUMI, SF-A2 miki, Lily, Nekomura Iroha, Utatane Piko, IA, ZOLA PROJECT, galaco, and Yukari Yuzuki. He later went on to work with various studios to produce openings, themes, and other music for anime series, and even produced music for a convenience store chain named “Lawson”. He died on September 24th of 2015, at the age of 31. His cause of death was never made public, other than the fact that it was due to internal causes.
