Ruurd Woltring (born as Ruurd Frans Johan Woltring on March 14th, 1988 in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands) is a Dutch singer-songwriter, who became globally known for his collaboration with the Dutch symphonic metal band EPICA on the single “Forevermore”, which was made possible by the Dutch television show “Niks te gek” (Nothing too crazy), in which mentally disabled people could get their most desired wishes granted.
He was part of the Dutch vocal duo Ben & Ruurd from 2016 until 2018, again in 2020, and since 2025 (for which he now uses an AI voice model of Ben de Ruiter, the other half of Ben & Ruurd, with the approval of De Ruiter).
He is a paternal cousin of Lavalu.
Amarins Woltring is his sister.
Marianne Borgman is his mother and manager.
