Ruby Claire is an independent pop singer-songwriter from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on October 10th, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia the young singer debuted her first release at just thirteen years old. Claire has made her debut as an independent artist at such a young age and has such a ripe songwriting ability that is deeply confessional for her pop-rock genre.

The young singer has been musically inclined from a very young age. Claire has been involved in multiple theatre productions and can play a number of instruments. She has been songwriting for quite some time with hundreds of works dating back to when she was nine years old. Her very first single “The Illusionist” was released to downloadable sites like Bandcamp on March 1, 2026 before being released for mainstream on May 11, 2026 A couple months later. “The Illusionist” is set to be the lead single of her upcoming EP.

Ruby Claire’s music is a blend of modern bedroom pop with retro rock elements that make her stand out. Her vocal delivery is defined by a clear piercing intimacy and her signature melancholic undertones. Lyrically, she uses cliches in favor of psychological metaphors. With her lyrics taking a very supernatural root. Claire has stated that the artist who inspired her to be a songwriter was Taylor Swift which that lyrical style becomes apparent in her discography. Arrangement wise she looks up to artists like The 1975, Ariana Grande, Gracie Abrams, and Olivia Rodrigo.

Ruby Claire so far only has one official release up for mainstream which is none other than her defining single “The Illusionist.” Claire has shared many live versions of songs or snippets on her social platforms. Announcing the second single to her upcoming EP, following the Illusionist is a track called “Haunted”. As stated previously her EP is officially in the works but no further information has been shared.
