Ronboy
Ronboy is the musical project of Julia Laws, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Washington. Influenced by the Pacific Northwest’s DIY music scene, she later moved to Los Angeles, where she began producing and recording her own music. Her 2020 EP Velvet caught the attention of The National’s Matt Berninger, leading to collaborations on his first solo album, Serpentine Prison and a feature on his sophomore album Get Sunk (2025).
In 2022, Ronboy released her debut album, Pity to Love, an atmospheric and cinematic project. She has toured as a bassist and vocalist with Jade Bird and contributed to projects by Berninger, including being a member of his touring band (backup vocals, keys).
