Co-founder of Fronrunnah Sudios, Romandrey K. Manning, better known as Roman Da'Fro, is an American underground rapper and producer from Garland, Texas. He’s known by his fans and haters for his iconic Afro that inspired his nickname “Roman Da'Fro”. He’s often compared to rappers like Jaren Benton and Denzel Curry, but Roman says that he takes inspiration from classic southern rappers like André 3000, northern producers like El-P, and EDM artists like Kavinsky.

Roman started rapping after finding his passion for writing and developing a desire to create the next era of golden hip-hop with his father. He began at the age of 17 while still a student at South Garland High School and described how the process went down In a BWD Radio interview in 2017:

He had the equipment for about what-5 years before I even thought about touching a microphone or anything or writing lyrics. So I come home one day and I just see him doing his thing and we just sit down next to each-other. He asked me how school was and I said it was going good. Then we were just talking and talking and talking. I was like, you know what, I’m bored. Can I try this?
