RKM Legend, born Ryan Kelly Moreland and also known as The Panther, is the younger cousin of the late DJ Screw (Robert Earl Davis Jr.), the Houston visionary who birthed chopped and screwed music and rewired the DNA of an entire genre.

Raised in Alief, Texas, one of Houston’s most gritty and competitive neighborhoods, before relocating to Missouri City, Moreland was shaped by two very different worlds from an early age.

As an entrepreneur and independent creator, RKM Legend founded Legendary Money Team, originally established as Legendary Music Team, a fully independent label and creative enterprise built on the belief that authentic voices should never be controlled by outside forces. In 2025, his entire music catalog was forcefully taken down without warning, and the reasons behind it remain unknown to this day. It stands as one of the most mysterious and unexplained moments in Houston’s independent music scene.

He is also the founder of Panther Studios, a production company dedicated to telling bold, unapologetic stories on screen.

RKM Legend is a rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur who continues to build one of the most intriguing and hard-to-define careers in independent entertainment. He moves with intention, speaks with purpose, and operates in a lane entirely his own.
