Alex Rimmer professionally known as Rimera is a twenty three year old producer, singer, rapper, video editor, director, videographer and photographer born March 7, 2003 in Birmingham, UK
Since young, Rimera always loved drumming and had started playing the drums when he was 12 years old. He was always into Rock music hence the influence in most of his projects. Rimera dropped out of university on June 8th 2022, at 19 years old, and 4 days after he released the music video for HUNDRED featuring Jeo Decap.
His last EP “REAL RIMERA HATER RADIO”, is the second volume of “TEDDY’S HEADPHONES”, similar to JAZZ PUNK,
the EP features Jeo Decap and Joshua Raw (previously featured on TEDDY’S HEADPHONES first volume) and a raw, aggresive and saturated sound, but instead of being themed about the United States, its themed around the United Kingdom, Rimera’s home country. His second released EP, “CATCH ME IF YOU CAN”, Is the first volume of a series of multiple EP’s released in 2026 by Rimera named “TEDDY’S HEADPHONES”, just like CATCH ME IF YOU CAN’s first single.
CATCH ME IF YOU CAN features artists like retropxssy and Joshua Raw, the last one also appearing on TEDDY’S HEADPHONES music video. His third album, BUSHWA, released in July 22nd, gave a lot of hype to fans and outsiders, especially for a snippet from the song “THE LAST MABELCORN” that had people thinking it was a Tyler, The Creator unreleased song. later being revealed it was a Rimera snippet from his latest project at the time.
The tracks for BUSHWA run up to about 30 minutes. Lots of noise, thirty minutes of honesty and Authenticity. Thirty minutes of new sound, thirty Minutes of Rimera, and thirty minutes of Bushwa.
“An enigmatic exploration of young and astute ideas. Another self produced project. I mean what i Say and i says what i mean. Driven, defeated, Focused and lost, i felt every contrast while Making Bushwa. From May 2024 until the Completion of this project, i remeber being very Confused about my life. Crossroads with no Signposts and tunnels with no lights. Allowing Myself to exist and not chaining myself to ideas of Who i thought i was or who i wanted to be, i made This album the beautiful mess it was always meant To be.” – Rimera.
His 2nd album, JAZZ PUNK is, contrary to the name, a genre defiant cluster of songs, boundless by musical concepts and all tied together throught the fundamental album characteristics: jazz elements with fast, raw, grungy, aggresive punk and some saturated synthesizers. It contains features with MARZEUS on TRASH ANTHEM and James Droptop on SCAREFEST. This album mixes jazz and punk in very unexpected and good ways and its Rimera’s best project (before bushwa).
“Jazz Punk started off as an ambition to fuse two genres and i have forever enjoyed but had only recently rediscovered my love for, however, i began finding the term more applicable ro a range of sounds, ideas and experiences in the same way we could say "That’s so Wes Anderson” or “That’s so Tyler The Creator”. Jazz Punk is it’s own conceptual entity consisting of colours, textures, places, experiences and honestly, whatever you decide it to be for you.“ – Rimera.
Rimera’s debut album, THE BLUEBIRD PROJECT, is an atmospheric and immersive project, with high production quality and cinematic style. a compact gem within alternative hip-hop and the experimental scene. Containing songs like THE HOMETOWN HOSTAGE, SEPTEMBER SOON COME and more.
“I wanted this to be the soundtrack to the movie i hadn’t made yet. Around the time of making it i had just finished the whole of Stranger Things for the first time and lots of backroom videos by Kane Pixels. I’ve always been a sucker for liminal spaces and Dreamy enviroments. I also rediscovered my love for Chase Plato and being able to immerse myself into their 2020’s project: "Suburban Apocalypse” again was a really good moment in time. You’ll be able to hear the inspiration shine through, especially the opening track and album cover, if you know you know. Oh and i painted the album cover.“ – Rimera.
Rimera has also made three EP’s in the past, Rimera, the self titled EP, most of it currently lost, released on 2019, SUMMER SILHOUETTES along with SONGS I PLAY ON LOOP FOR HOURS both released on 2022, and his first ever album that was supposed to release in 2021, being worked all the way from 2020 to around 2021 and is lost, CAMP WANDER. This last one would eventually become and inspire THE BLUEBIRD PROJECT. and JAZZ PUNK.
