West-Coast Mexican Rapper Ricky Reyna is a California native based in Washington, D.C. The songwriter, artist, and producer is best known for his singles “Sigo Bateando” and “Brillo,” which represent the urban genre “living the border life” and flexibility rap, trap, and regetón. Artists that have inspired him had their breakthroughs during the past decade, such as Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, A$AP Rocky and Freddie Gibbs. Ricky Reyna grew up listening to a diversified set of playlists that coveredClassic Rock, Funk, R&B, 90’s and 2000’s Hip Hop. Growing up in between Mexico and the United States only added to his Hispanic and Latin authenticity, and you can get a hold of that energetic tone and rhythm in all his music.
