Reveille was a nu/rap-metal band that formed in 1998 in Harvard, Massachusetts around vocalist Drew Simollardes, guitarists Greg Sullivan and Steve Miloszewski, bassist Carl Randolph and drummer Justin Wilson. They recorded a six-track demo and later a four-track self titled EP before signing to major label Elektra after being “the subject of a major-label bidding war”.

After the release of their debut album Laced, Reveille toured with Godsmack and Powerman 5000, and appeared on Warped Tour 1999, Woodstock 1999, and Ozzfest 2000.

Their second album Bleed the Sky followed in 2001 and reached #15 on the US Heatseekers Chart. A remix of the song “Inside Out” that added Cold frontman Scooter Ward reached the top 30 on the US Active Rock Chart in April 2002 as the band toured with Static X, then Sevendust.

Complications began to arise when guitarist Greg Sullivan left citing musical differences and was replaced with Chris Turner. At first, the band planned to continue and release a new album, but decided to split up instead to pursue other projects. They played their last show on December 28, 2002 at the Worcester Palladium. Simollardes later explained:

The industry changed, radio changed. Everyone said we had to change our style of music to fit in, and we weren’t really down to do it.

Simollardes and Sullivan later formed the band Genuflect. Reveille reunited for one show at the Worcester Palladium in 2008 as Reveille Reborn. Simollardes told the Worcester Phoenix:

We aren’t promoting a new album or a new tour, so this isn’t about making money or furthering our future as a band. When we broke up, we simply vanished without a trace. This is our chance to pay homage to the couple hundred thousand people who bought our records and believed in what we did.
