Red Flag was a musical duo formed by brothers Chris and Mark Reynolds, originally from Liverpool. They founded Red Flag in San Diego in 1984. At that time, they were called Shades of May (until 1985) and then Naive Art (until mid-1988). In 1993, they founded their own independent record label, Plan B Records.

The group’s future was uncertain after Mark Reynolds passed away in 2003, but after a four-year hiatus, his brother Chris decided in 2007 to continue with Red Flag, this time as a solo artist without his brother, announcing the recording of a new album. This album was titled “Born Again.” Several more followed in the subsequent years.

After the release of their digital album “Endless” in 2019, Chris teamed up with Joseph Watt (of Razormaid!) to release a new 12-inch single for “Blue Monday” and a new version of their classic album “Naive Art.”
