Racing Mount Pleasant is an American indie folk band formed at the University of Michigan in 2021. Initially titled Kingfisher, they released their debut album Grip Your Fist, I’m Heaven Bound in 2022, before changing their name in 2025. Their self-titled release followed soon after.

The group currently consists of Sam DuBose (vocals, guitar), Samuel Uribe Botero (tenor saxophone), Connor Hoyt (alto saxophone), Callum Roberts (trumpet), Kaysen Chown (strings), Tyler Thenstedt (bass, vocals), and Casey Cheatham (drums, vocals), alongside the visual artists Gabby Mack, Gray Snyder, and Sky Christoph.
