R U N is an experimental extreme metal group, originally formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2019 as a studio duo of Lochlan Watt and Mike Deslandes. In 2020, the group released their first songs, followed by a debut EP, ‘For You Will Never Find Peace Within Your Quiet’. After playing a string of local shows, the band eventually continued without Deslandes. Lochlan changed the name to ’RUN’ and introduced new members, Benn Gaylor (Bassist), Lewis Noke-Edwards (Guitar), Adrian Horsman (Drums) and Arron Parker Richards (Guitar). In 2023, the band released a single referencing ongoing medical issues of the frontman, Lochlan alongside a cover of The Goo Goo Dolls‘ song ’Iris‘ which they’ve been playing at live shows up until that point. In January 2024, the band released the first single to their second EP (first of which with the full band) before releasing the full EP, ‘True Heaviness Is Time’ in June 2024. In June 2025, the band released a 2-track single, titled ’Ash + Soil'.
