Tebogo Sidney Thapelo Thekisho, professionally known as ProVerb, is a South African rapper, broadcaster and television personality from Kimberley, in the Northern Cape.

ProVerb emerged as one of the country’s most respected hip-hop voices following the release of his debut album, The Book of ProVerb, in 2005. Known for his clean and conscious approach to rap and hard lyricism, he went on to release several acclaimed projects while building a career across radio and television.

Beyond music, ProVerb became a household name through platforms including YFM, Channel O and Idols South Africa. With a career spanning more than two decades, he remains one of Kimberley’s most successful figures in South African entertainment and an important name in the country’s hip-hop history.
