Aubrey Kashala, commonly known as Pronto The Rapper is a Hip hop artist fromLusaka, Zambia. His passion for music goes way back to his days as a child. Growing up, young Pronto was surrounded by family members who were huge Hip hop heads and exposed him to old-school Hip hop by artists such as 2Pac, Eminem, Biggie Smallz, Big L and later got inspired by the likes of A-Reece, Frank Casino, KRYTIC, Nasty C and Nipsey Hussle fueling love of the genre. Pronto begun to officially write his own music at the age of 15 while in 8th grade as he started to ‘study’ the fundamental concepts of Hip Hop as both a genre and culture, he would go on to master his craft and curate his own sound before he eventually started recording his own music and participating in Rap battles, sharpening his free-styling and writing skills
Pronto says “going to desperate lengths and measures such as using most of my school pocket money and going out of school bounds only to walk more than 10 kilometers risking not only my place in school but also my livelihood just to get some studio time and perfect my craft, this really created an undeniably unique and authentic approach and passion for hip hope within me.” Pronto’s first project was a collaborative 7 Track EP with fellow Zambian Artist Asap Trap titled ‘REFLECTIONS EP’ released exclusively on Audiomack in 2018. Pronto would go on to release several other singles with Asap Trap as a duo.

Pronto would them begin to focus more on his solo career and signed his first record deal with ‘Trails media Studios’ with whom he started working on his Debut solo Project ‘My Own Way mixtape V.1’ the following year which was released on May 24th 2020. The release of his Solo mixtape earned him acclaim within the underground Hip hop scene, cementing his name as one of the brightest emerging Hop hop superstars not only in the country but on the entire African continent. Pronto would leave trails media to pursue life as an independent artist through his own label ‘CULTURE OF RAP RECORDS.
This release would then be followed up by the independent release of a Two-Track Ep titled ‘IMAGINE BEING ME’ which was a build up to his sophomore project.
After an almost Two year hiatus, Pronto would return to the music scene On October 22nd, 2022 with the release of his debut single ‘UPPER ECHELON’ off his next project titled WRITTEN IN DESTINY MIXTAPE which is set to be released in September 2023.
Generally Pronto aims to introduce hard-core Hip hop not only to the Zambian audience but create a whole niche of hip hop based on a high standard of quality and delivery with a touch of oldschool rap, through this Pronto thrives in using his wordplay, storytelling and complex flow to tell his life experiences and those he’s witnessed the people around him overcome.
Pronto believes in giving his listeners quality Hip hop through which he channels his opinions and life experiences which is what makes his music so relatable and separates him completely from all his peers in the music industry.
He recently released his sophomore mixtape titled Written in Destiny which has gained him plenty positive reviews and acclaim making him one of the brightest prospects in Zambian Hip hop.
