Project: Roenwolfe

Project: Roenwolfe was an American thrash/power metal band. Formed in 2011 as the brainchild of Judicator co-founder/multi-instrumentalist Alicia Cordisco and Patrick Hoyt Parris, the band released their debut album Neverwhere Dreamsacpe in 2013. Cordisco would spend much of her time working with Judicator in the following years before leaving the band she co-founded to focus on her own career.

Parris and Cordisco would revive Project: Roenwolfe and release their second album Edge of Saturn in 2021 with Ernie Topran of Theocracy joining them on drums. Two years later they would release their self-titled third album Project: Roenwolfe with bassist Leona Hayward of epic/heavy metal band Owlbear joining them for the recording. The album would also mark the end of the band as a concept, citing that their “journey was complete.”

The band’s lyrical themes touched heavily on political and personal strife, especially so in their last two albums. They would use sci-fi and allegory to protest against the oppression of people everywhere in the world, most notably against fascist ideology and the predatory nature of unchecked capitalism.
