Born on September 2, 1977, in Memphis, TN, Ibn Adib Young, better known by his stage names Playa Fly and Lil Fly, emerged as a prominent figure in the rap scene. Growing up near South Parkway and Victor Street, Fly drew inspiration from his surroundings, forming his renowned “SPV Click,” named after the streets that shaped his upbringing.

At the young age of 16, Playa Fly embarked on his musical journey, soon finding himself associated with DJ Paul and Juicy J. He became a member of Three 6 Mafia, although he eventually distanced himself from the group in 1995 to pursue a solo career.

Signing with Super Sigg Records, Fly released three albums under their label, showcasing his individual artistry and distinctive style. However, after parting ways with Super Sigg, he established his imprint, paying homage to his grandmother, Minnie Mae, by naming it Minnie Mae Muzik, also known as The Minnie Mae Mafia.
