Houston-based rapper/producer Phill Evans is a hip-hop artist known for making transparent art that inspires, encourages, and challenges the norm. Born in New Jersey due to his father being in the Air Force, Phill moved to Texas at the age of two. The knowledge of being born on the east coast gave him an infatuation with east coast rap style which he often meshes with a southern flow to create a style completely his own.

Being raised by parents who committed to being faithful to a church, Phill’s music is heavily influenced by his faith. He often fleshes out his own battles and shortcomings, while offering the solution that he has found to be infinitely reliable – the gospel of Jesus Christ. He uses music to tell his experience and the experiences of those closest to him. His hope is that by the time you get to the end of any of his projects, you receive a banger, blessing, or lesson.

Recently he’s been collaborating with producer/rapper Tre Cosmos to bring you his long awaited EP “Texas State of Mind”. It is sure to introduce him to the music world as a versatile artist with a refreshing sound and perspective within hip hop music and culture.
