Phillip Christopher Urassa (born July 28, 2004), professionally known as “Phellic,” is a Tanzanian Pop and R&B recording artist, singer, and songwriter recognized for his distinctive sound, emotional vocal style, and creative musical versatility. Born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Phellic has gained attention through both original releases and unique reinterpretations of globally recognized songs.

His musical catalog includes covers inspired by artists such as George Michael’s “Careless Whisper”, Melanie Martinez’s “Nurse’s Office”, Sam Smith’s “Fire On Fire”, and Rihanna’s “Pour It Up”, showcasing his ability to blend modern Pop and R&B influences with his own artistic identity. Alongside his covers, Phellic continues to develop his career through original music. His debut original collaboration single, “Mawazo” (2024), featured Sugz and was later released as a remix featuring Jelvin Vampos

In addition to his solo career, Phellic is the founder and member of the music band PHEMZ, formed in 2026, alongside fellow member Makeyz. The group released their debut single, “Too Sweet,” inspired by Hozier’s hit song, marking the beginning of their collaborative musical journey.
