Pelican is a post-metal / instrumental band from Des Plaines, Illinois that was established in 2000.

The founding members of the quartet were:
- Trevor de Brauw (guitar)
- Bryan Herweg (bass)
- Larry Herweg (drums)
- Laurent Schroeder-Lebec (guitar)

In 2012 the band had an amicable split with Schroeder-Lebec who was replaced by Dallas Thomas.
