Paraseed
The music project Paraseed was founded in February 2011 in Vienna, Austria, when two passionate musicians with different styles decided to join forces and release music together. They created a unique style they called ‘Electronic Trip-Rock’ – a sound that transcends the boundaries of alternative electronic and rock music.
In 2012, the debut album Earworms was released. Paraseed continued as a band, performing several live gigs with four human members (keyboard, guitar, drums and bass) and a computer on stage.
Their last gig as a band was at Europe’s biggest free outdoor festival, the Donauinselfest, in their hometown of Vienna in 2013.
Shortly afterwards, Paraseed split up due to differing interests. Only one of the founders remained, with lots of material waiting to be released. However, perfectionism and frustration resulted in a delay in the release of the second album.
In 2021, Paraseed was resurrected with a new EP. Since then Peter “cj” Wenzl has continued the project alone, maintaining its unique style.
