Paperdeer
Paperdeer is an electronic music band consisting Norbert Biro and Benjamin Kiss. They formed the band in Budapest 2010 under the name TrashTunes and made bootlegs and instrumental music. They renamed the band to ‘Paperdeer’ and released their first music video in 2013 after Emese Stewart’s joining as a new band member. Her vocal was featured in ‘Up To The Top’ and ‘Next To Me’ on their self-titled introducing EP they released in 2014. The third track on the EP ‘Spencer’ was featured in a Pepsi Twist video campaign and Utomik’s promotional video.
There is another version of ‘Spencer’ too featuring Skeeny Boy from band ‘Cloud 9+’, they sampled its vocal track in ‘Shoutout’ and released it on their first album ‘Fabled’ in January 2015. This LP featured with several various artists contains nine songs with a linear mood-line, starting with the first three track’s dance mood, heading to a deeper and deeper world till it reaches a perfect dreamlike finale of ‘Outro’. A half year later ‘The Remixes’ came out with thirteen remixes of their previous songs made by unique underground electronic music producers like ‘Myamo’, ‘Nome’ and ‘Blue Book’, or Some Minor Noise’s producer ‘Wayne Doe’ and Crystal Castles' remixer ‘Alex Zelenka’. Their song ‘Fabled’ remixed by ‘GLXY’ has been published on dynmk’s Youtube channel.
The band announced Emese Stewart’s departure in December 2015 – according to an article by Recorder.hu. Their next album ‘Airports’ will contain songs featuring her vocals but Paperdeer will be continued as a two-membered music project.
In January 2016, ‘Belau’ released a remix album including ‘Island of Promise (Paperdeer Remix)’.
