Overtop is a band from São Paulo that was forged in grunge and post-grunge, but over the years has added influences and elements from hard rock, stoner and sludge metal, resulting in an approach that is reminiscent of contemporary Alternative Metal. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2024, accompanied by the music video for the track “Powerless”. “Overtop” explores deep themes related to suffering, loneliness, the search for meaning and emotional transformation, where each lyric offers a unique perspective on the human condition and the internal struggle for peace and purpose.

The release consolidates all the construction that Overtop has been carrying out since its founding in 2022, supported by the experience of its roots in the renowned band Beeswax, founded in 2005. Since then, Overtop has been performing alongside renowned names in Brazilian Metal, paving its way towards new levels within the scene in our country. Overtop’s current and experienced lineup includes vocalist and guitarist Andersong Gregório, guitarist Jo Campos, bassist Rodrigo Faveri and drummer Tuti Fachin.
