Optimize is a Maryland-Based, Christian, Hip-Hop artist who has been making music since he was 15 years old. He started off making unofficial mixtapes and singles, releasing them on his YouTube Channel until late 2018 when he began releasing official music, his first single being ‘Love Isn’t Fake’ in August of 2018. He based his former music on his struggles that he went through as a teenager, and still carries some of these similar messages today, with a good mix of influences and original sound, diverse production, lyricism, and subject matter.

Optimize’s first full year had a lot of ups and downs. His next major commercial release ‘The Come Up’ arrived in February of 2019, not gaining as much traction as he would’ve preferred. However, things took a turn for him in Late March/Early April. On March 31st, 2019, Optimize released a remix to Logic’s ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind’, which managed to garner a couple thousand streams, and continues to be one of his most streamed songs.A couple weeks later, on April 18, 2019, Him and Yungex released a song titled ‘Blood on my Hands’, gaining several thousand streams and becoming a fan favorite. In May, he released ‘Crazy’, gaining 5,000+ streams very quickly.

Nothing would top ‘Impulsive’, releasing in June, gaining 10,000 streams in the first week. He followed it up, and teased a new album with a mixtape titled ‘Maryland to the Atlas’ (MD2TA). Other than a few remixes and one more single release that didn’t make the project, Optimize released his first Major Commercial Project, ‘Hopes, Dreams, & Growing Pains’. He closed out the year with a faith-based, heart-tugging single ‘Decade’, getting a lot of attention and streams, becoming another fan favorite. He looks to continue to make waves in 2020.
