I am ODF J-Top, a 20 years old artist. Fed with the cream of the crop Hip Hop music, by inspirations measured by the likes of : Nas, Outkast, Mf doom and 2pac. I have come to set the stage for storytelling based Hip Hop. Where i’m placing music in a bigger frame than just ears, touching hearts and transforming people is exactly what I intend to do in my songs. Through the album The Recollect I bring this message and the hardships i’ve been through over to the listeners. Where a person stuck up with an emotional brick wall or issue of the sorts can break loose, with the help of the raw emotion that you can hear from any of the 25 tracks. I deliberately chose 25 so I had room for a wide spectrum of beats and therefore emotions to tell my story. It is essentialy my character development as a person, which the intent listener can cleary hear. This so that The Recollect is not only an experience to listen to. But also a timeless piece which people can use as a lifeline for their own personal development, not only measuring where you are on the spectrum of emotion, but also how to ride that emotion out to victory at the end of the story. With The Recollect all a person has to do is listen.
