The Liverpool-based British band Number One Son was founded in 2000 by vocalist Nic Whitmore. After recording one EP, their first full-length, Majority Of One, was released in the summer of 2002. The album is a blend of nu-metal and rapcore, though less vocally driven. In 2003, the band recorded another album, Lessons, their second and final album. In 2005, the band officially announced their disbandment.
