Nosferatu is a gothic rock band from the United Kingdom formed in 1988 by guitarist Damien DeVille, bassist Vlad Janicek, and vocalist Sapphire Aurora.

In 1989, Nosferatu finished their first recording session and began sending their three-track demo tape Bloodlust to local indie record labels. Unfortunately, they were rejected by every label.

With the addition of new vocalist Louis DeWray, the band released their debut album Rise in 1993 under Dark Fortune Records. After the release of Rise, Louis DeWray left the band, and was replaced by Niall Murphy.

The following year, Nosferatu released their album The Prophecy. After which, Niall Murphy and Vlad Janicek departed from the band, being replaced by Dominic LaVey and Dante Savarelle respectively.

After signing to Hades Records in 1996, the band released their third studio album Prince of Darkness. Two years later, they released their fourth album Lord of the Flies, with Doc Milton replacing Dante Savarelle after its release.

Louis DeWray reunited with Nosferatu in 2005, and a year later, the band released their single “Somebody Put Something In My Drink.”

Later in 2011, Nosferatu released their fifth studio album Wonderland. In 2015, Louis DeWray once again left Nosferatu and was replaced by Tim Vic.

In 2019, Louis DeWray and Vlad Janicek came together and formed a new version of the band called “The Nosferatu” with Rob Leydon and began touring globally in 2020.
