Nook70 is an alternative music duo that was formed in Baltimore, MD. In November of 2021. The band consists of Jamie Finkle on vocals and Slurpo on vocals and production.

The band was originally going to be a solo career for Jamie but was turned into a duo after Slurpo decided to do vocals also.

The name for the band comes from the Animal Crossing character Tom Nook after Slurpo took a liking to the character after playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons but after Slurpo learned the word Nook is also slang for vagina he knew he had to keep the name.

The number 70 at the end of the band name is there because the band needed something else in the name because the name Nook was already taken on Spotify and Apple Music. The number was originally going to be 69 but if people didn’t catch on to Nook meaning vagina everyone knows what 69 means. So Slurpo moved one number up and went with 70. Not only is it only one number away from the sex number but it also rolls off of the tounge alot better than 69.

On February 28, 2022, Slurpo and Jamie took a trip to PetCo after Jamie Finkle picked up his 300 dollar paycheck with the intent to buy a pet. Jamie went with a hamster that was born sometime in November of 2021. They named him Tom because of the Animal Crossing character and he lived with Jamie Finkle until his untimely death on March 6, 2022
