Nmesh is an electronic music project of artist Alex Koenig, based out of Louisville, Kentucky. Koenig started drumming when he was 11 or 12, founding the metal band Execrate in middle school. His second band was named Nemesis but he played in numerous metal bands in the late ‘90s.

By 2002, he began pursuing a solo electronic project incorporating a multitude of styles, often with a heavy influence of psychedelia under the Nmesh moniker.

He rose to notoriety in the underground internet electronic scene in the 2010s. Each project differing from each other, orienting around different genres, the predominant one being chopped & screwed.

In 2013 he began experimenting within the vaporwave genre with “Nu.wav Hallucinations.” In 2017 he released the vaporwave/vaporwave-inspired “Pharma” which received critical success.
