N-Dubz is a British pop-rap group that originates from Camden, London and consists of Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer. Dappy and Tulisa both have a Greek-Cypriot background and are also cousins. The trio attended school together and under the management of Dappy’s father, Byron, became a group when they were young teens. Byron died in 2007, just before N-Dubz got their big break and they even dedicated a song to their mentor thanking him for his guidance, “Papa Can You Hear Me?”

N-Dubz got their name from their postcode area, North West London or ‘NW’. Their first album Uncle B (name after Dappy’s father), went platinum twice in the UK and spawned seven different singles, the highest charting one being “Wouldn’t You” which managed to reach 64 in the UK charts. The same year their debut album was released, Dappy featured on fellow UK MC Tinchy Stryder’s “Number One” which was Dappy’s first solo venture.

2009 saw the release of their second album Against All Odds and their first top-10 single, “I Need You”. They linked up with various UK artists on the album, including Mr Hudson, Wiley and Chip.

In 2010, N-Dubz were signed to Def Jam after making a documentary series Being… N-Dubz following their lives. Their third album Love.Live.Life was released on their new label and their first single from it was “We Dance On”—which was included on the StreetDance soundtrack.

In 2011, the group began parting ways. Their contract with Def Jam ended due to creative differences, Tulisa began her stint as a judge on the X Factor and Dappy released his first solo single, “No Regrets”. It was confirmed that the trio would undergo a 2 year hiatus as the cousins pursued their solo careers.

What was initially intended as a short break from the group became a much longer one. Over a decade later in May 2022, they released comeback single “Charmer”. They were met with strong support from original fans, playing four headline shows at London’s O2 Arena in November and December of that year. In 2023, they released their fourth album Timeless, consisting of sixteen tracks.
