The Japanese four-piece band muque (with Asakura as its vocalist, Lenon as its bassist, takachi as its drummer and co-producer, and was formed in May 2022 in Fukuoka, its name being a portmanteau of the French word for “music” (musique) and the Japanese word for “purity” (無垢/muku). The band’s musical style has been self-described as matching the origin of its name: making music with as little external influences from trends in the contemporary music scene as possible.
