Mrs. GREEN APPLE is a Japanese rock band under EMI Records from Tokyo, Japan. The band consists of: Motoki Ohmori (大森元貴) – vocals, guitar; Hiloto Wakai (若井滉斗) – guitar; and Ryoka Fujisawa (藤澤涼架) – keyboard. Formed in 2013 as an independent band, they began performing demos and live shows in small concert venues around Tokyo. In July 2014, while still an indie band, they released their first mini-album, Introduction, which features the setlist from their 2013 live performances.

A year later, in February 2015, Mrs. GREEN APPLE released their first EP, Progressive, under ProBabLy RecOrds. A few months later, they made their major-label debut with EMI Records, releasing the mini-album, Variety, in July 2015.
In August of the same year, Mrs. GREEN APPLE performed at the stage of popular Japanese music festivals such as ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL, Rising Sun Rock Festival, and Rush Ball. In late 2015, they released the ending theme song, “Speaking,” for the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V.

The band started 2016 with the release their first album, TWELVE, in January, reaching the Top 10 on the Billboard Japan Top Album Sales chart. In January 2017, they released their second album, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, which reached at #7 on the same chart. In April 2018, they released their third album, ENSEMBLE, hitting #3 on Billboard Japan chart.

In July 2019, the band released the theme song “インフェルノ (Inferno),” for the anime series 炎炎ノ消防隊 (Fire Force). Following months later, in October, they released the album, Attitude, which ranked #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart. Mrs. GREEN APPLE wrapped up 2019 with their arena tour, EDEN no SONO, held at Yokohama Arena.

In 2020, the band announced their hiatus, calling it the “End of Phase 1/Phase-1 fin.” on their X (formerly Twitter) account, while also revealing the start of Project-MGA.

Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s 1 year and 8 months hiatus ended and marking the opening of Phase 2 in March 2022. In May of the same year, they release the single “ダンスホール (Dance Hall),” which then won the Excellent Work Award at the 64th Japan Record Awards. In June, the band collaborated with Japanese singer Ado on the single “I’m Invincible,” which was featured as a soundtrack for the anime film One Piece Film: Red. The following month, in July, the band released their mini-album, Unity, and held a simultaneous one-night-only revival live concert, Utopia. Later that year, they released the theme “Soranji”, for the Japanese movie From Siberia With Love.

In 2023, Mrs. GREEN APPLE celebrated their 10th anniversary with the release of their album, ANTENNA, in July and also held their arena tour, NOAH no HAKOBUNE, in Tokyo, Osaka, and Aichi. In August, they performed another concert, Mrs. GREEN APPLE DOME LIVE 2023: Atlantis. At the 65th Japan Record Awards, the band won the Grand Prix for their single, “ケセラセラ (Que Sera, Sera).”
On June 12, 2024, they released the single, “コロンブス (Columbus).” Followed by the release of “ビターバカンス (Bitter Vacances),” in November, which hit #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.

In 2025, Mrs. GREEN APPLE won the Artist of the Year at the first MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025.

In the same year, they dropped several singles that blew up, all making it onto the Billboard Japan Hot 100. The theme song “クスシキ (KUSUSHIKI)” for the anime series 薬屋のひとりごと (The Apothecary Diaries) debuted at #1, followed by “天国 (Heaven)” and “breakfast,” both of which rises and hit #1.

In July 2025, the band released their anniversary album, 10, featuring their biggest hit tracks from over the years. They also released “Carrying Happiness,” the theme song for the Summer Cool-off event at Tokyo Disney Resort.
