Merrick is a band created by the singer/songwriters Inara George and Bryony Atkinson. Additionally, Inara and Tim Aaron are the guitarists, Bryony and Joe Karnes are the bassists, Scott Seiver is the drummer and Amir Yaghmai is the violinist.

Inara and Bryony decided to record their debut album Merrick in their Producer’s – Marty Beal’s – living room. As the result of these sessions, their self-titled album has been played in heavy rotation by D.J.s such as Nic Harcourt, Chris Douridas, and Gary Calamar. On June 28th of that year, the band played live on the highly acclaimed show Morning Becomes Eclectic.
Due to the success of their first album, Merrick began to record their second album Drive Around a lot Hard and Fast Driving Club. The album was recorded in ten days, both at their Producer’s house and at Groovemasters.

Not long after their second album, Merrick disbanded in November of 2002 with no plans of return, leaving Inara and Bryony to continue working with music on their own paths.
