Melawinter is all about making music fun again. Debuting as rosehwd’s side production project at the end of 2024, following her commercial failure seasonal depression, Melawinter was created to bring some creativity and fun into her music again, after her main discography became a “slog” of depressing lyrics and somber indie guitar tones. The energy was immediately noticeably different upon this switch, and as Mela continued to develop, she grew into her greatest craft yet: ragebait. She started small, with genuine efforts such as Plagaristic Tendencies and Spring Equinox. And when it seemed unlikely she planned to ever come back to this project, she surprised fans after a five month hiatus with the polarizing Tallyho Road, an absolute mess of an album meant to enrage listeners. She doubled down with the MANIA EP and INSANE MASTER BEATS, her fourth album. After giving fans a break to end the year with the normal Oregon, she returned to her prime with 2026’s Peak, utilizing a plethora of samples to further diversify her craft of making the worst music ever heard.
