melancholia blue
Melancholia Blue is a project by Jacob Cooper of Boston, Massachusetts. They started the project in 2020 and released three albums in 2021, two of which have become lost media.
In 2023, they returned to the name to deliver “the coldest summer in boston” series, starting with their self-titled release and ending with “J” one year later.
In between, they dropped singles such as “storm”, “downpour.”, and “this is what dreams are made of”.
On September 18th, 2024, a new record,
“44.0537°, 71.1284°” [aka (mountains)] was announced. It was released on September 27th. By November 6th, 2024, a new mixtape “✧･ﾟ✧･black cherry･✧ﾟ･✧” released.
In January 2025, “album eight” was released, alongside a visual component and physical media.
Melancholia Blue released two more albums in May 2025, “funny paper open sandwich crustaceans”, and “interest resting for traditional legacy”.
On October 1st, 2025, the album “Why are you watching?” released alongside a movie. December 19th had “Live life for passion” release with the same treatment.
