ME REX, based in London and Brighton, is a three-piece indie band formed of friends Myles McCabe (guitar/keys/vocals), Phoebe Cross (drums/vocals) and Rich Mandell (bass/keys/vocals/production). In 2021, they released their debut album, Megabear, comprising 52 short tracks intended to be played on shuffle. Since then, they have released a series of EPs, culminating in their second album, Giant Elk, in 2023. Their upbeat instrumentation and smooth vocals are reinforced by complex and poetic lyricism which weaves together expressions of loneliness and environmental collapse with art, lore, and mythology.
