Marques Martin is a rapper and producer from Prince George’s County, Maryland, now based in New York City. He began his music career as a beatmaker and gradually transitioned into a solo artist, blending elements of hip-hop, indie, and a genre he invented, glam rap. His style leans experimental, often pulling from a wide range of influences.

His debut album, Brave & Afraid, released in 2020, introduced listeners to his introspective lyrics and unconventional production choices. The album explored personal and social themes and helped establish Martin as an artist willing to take creative risks.

In 2023, Martin followed up with the EP, Sex on the first EP. The project featured a mix of melodic tracks and heavier beats, continuing his trend of blending genres. Songs like “fall3n” and “butterfly” further developed his sound and focused on themes of relationships and identity.

More recently, he has released a second EP, Radiosuper. It is seven tracks long, and was released over the course of 14 months. This project contains some of his most polished tracks, including nyreal, which leans into an ethereal sound, with very conscious lyrics.
