AKA: Malcolm Todd Hobert

Malcolm “Todd” Hobert is an American singer, songwriter, and musician hailing from Los Angeles, California and signed to Columbia Records. Best known for his warm, lovesick sound that blends elements of alternative R&B and bedroom pop, he has sonically drawn heavy comparisons to artists such as Steve Lacy, Omar Apollo, and Dijon.

Todd first began making music in high school, performing at parties and writing songs during the COVID pandemic. He released his first extended play, Demos Before Prom, around the time of his graduation. Todd followed this up with a second EP, Shower Shoes, in 2023.

After achieving TikTok vitality with his hit singles, “Art House” and “Roommates”, Malcolm began to develop a cult following, signed a record deal with Columbia, and released his debut mixtape, Sweet Boy. In late 2024, he achieved massive commercial success with his single, “Chest Pain”, which peaked at number 68 on the Billboard Hot 100 and kick-started a massive TikTok trend for couple appreciation. Todd released his eponymously-titled debut album on April 4, 2025 and announced his first headlining tour for the summer of 2025.

Hobert is the younger brother of singer-songwriter Audrey Hobert.
