Detroit Native Malcolm Elliott is a poet, rapper, and saxophonist from the westside of the city. He started writing rhymes in March of 2014 and released his debut solo project, “The Era of Adolescence” this past February.

At 20 years old, Malcolm has already toured Europe and performed all over the state of Michigan as well as the Fox theatre, The African World Festival, Detroit Country Club, Grand Ball Room at Cobo Center, The Governor’s convention in the Upper Peninsula, University of Michigan, Western Michigan, Oakland University, and Michigan State University all multiple times. He was voted “Best New Artist” by Michigan State and has been featured on several different music blogs. Malcolm has also opened the Jazz Festival and played for the late Dr. Maya Angelou.

He has worked closely with Grammy Award winning, double-platinum DJ and producer, DJ Head; most known for his work with Eminem, Dr. Dre, and D12. Malcolm recently participated in the BET Sprite HOT 16 competition.
