Mackinitup
Mackinitup is a Hungarian-born American rapper whose songwriting draws from his diverse life experiences. Adopted from overseas and raised in the U.S., he grew up navigating questions of identity and belonging. As a gay teen in Catholic school, he struggled with his sexuality in a restrictive environment, ultimately rejecting the faith and embracing atheism. These formative experiences drive his unapologetic lyrics, where he addresses self-discovery, resilience, and breaking free from societal expectations.
Since his debut in 2015 with a fun, high-energy track about twerking in a club, Mackinitup has expanded his work to explore deeper themes. His music now tackles personal issues like self-forgiveness and suicide prevention, while also advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and marginalized voices. His songs serve as a message of hope to teens facing similar struggles, encouraging them to choose life and push through difficult times.
After spending a year in Australia, he’s returned with seven new singles, which he’s set to release soon. Blending playful, sexually charged tracks with more reflective, socially conscious themes, he continues to evolve as an artist, setting him up to make a bold statement in the industry.
