Lush was an English alternative rock band, or well regarded as a shoegaze band, formed in London in 1987 by Miki Berenyi and Emma Anderson. Adding Chris Acland on drums and Steve Rippon on bass. Rippon was replaced by another bassist Philip King in 1992.

While they started as shoegaze pioneers, they transitioned into a Britpop band when making their third and final album, Lovelife. In 1996, Acland took his own life by hanging in his parents' garden, which made Lush officially break up as a band in 1998, two years after his death.

The band came back in 2015 and released their fourth and final EP, Blind Spot. In 2016 and later broke up again during the same year.
