Jeremiah Mark (born May 7, 2006), better known by his stage name Lucy Bedroque, is a California-based rapper, producer, and songwriter from The Bronx, New York.

In an interview with Kids Take Over, the Los Angeles resident explained the meaning behind his current alias:

Lucy, if you like pull the Latin definition, it means light. And bedrock is, in a more
metaphorical stance, is foundational kind of thing. So I guess when you put the two together it’s like, everything I do, there’s like light in it. I guess light is like the foundation in like what I do.

Though his music career began with creating lo-fi beats, he became involved with many online communities around the “digicore” scene during the COVID-19 lockdown. This inspired him to experiment with using his own voice under the alias loru. In 2021, he adopted the moniker lostrushi and became part of the N0cturn4ls collective alongside artists like kaystrueno, rachyl, zinoblade, yumi and many others until the group was eventually disbanded in 2022.

By then, Lucy began making waves with viral releases like “true perspective” and “syxx anthem,” all while refining his unique sound. Drawing from a diverse range of influences—including alternative genres like sigil, rock, metal, and shoegaze—his work is shaped by inspirations such as Dir en grey, Linkin Park, and POiSON GiRL FRiEND. He frequently incorporates elements like Nintendo game soundtracks, cinematography, and visual kei, blending them with a strong emphasis on storytelling.

One recurring theme in his work is the concept of sisters, which he elaborated on in a 2023 interview with No Bells:

The entire story behind “Sisters” is for each of the sisters to meet at a common ground and function in unison. They’re a representation of my own personal emotions, so all my different aspects are essentially tied to one big theme or idea: acceptance.

He released his debut album, SISTERHOOD, on June 23. This project further developed his artistic universe with new concepts like glutmother, an alias symbolizing his gluttony, both literally and metaphorically.

On March 6, 2024, he rebranded from lostrushi to Lucy Bedroque, a move that sparked mixed reactions from fans. He addressed their frustrations during an Instagram live, playfully brushing off the criticism and explaining that the new alias better represents himself and his music. That same day, he teased his upcoming project, Fête de la Vanille—a 6-track EP that takes heavy influence from Japanese music genre Shibuya-kei—which was released on October 4.

On May 16, 2025, Lucy would release his debut mixtape Unmusique, in which it was revealed that he had signed to deadAir Records. Songs such as “2010 Justin Bieber,” “G6 Anthem,” and “Yes, You May” would all gain virality through social media.

Lucy is expected to release two studio albums: c and null by design in 2026, with his other two unreleased projects Vanilla and Svelte Child speculated to see a release in the future.
